Hi all,
This is my first post on the forum so i am hoping you guys can help....Where to begin, well ive have just aquired a 1.4 polo 1997 with a 1.4 engine. Its not going on the road for quite a while as im planning big things for it, Ive looked into different engine and most people having been saying that this is the most straight forward...I am a mechanic and now work in engine testing but have never done a conversion on a car let alone my own, so heres what i need to know if anyone can help
1. How well does the 2.0l lump drop in,in terms of mounts..welding required?
2.inlet and exhaust will they fit in the engine bay ??
3. Gearbox, do you have to use the diesel golf gearbox?
and 4. Any good companys in the UK that you can get new parts for conversions/custom stainless exhausts/performance inlets etc
