Have you ever had a car stolen or broken into?

I had a radio nicked and that felt really bad. I'd also had a car stolen - I'd left it overnight in the town because I couldn't start it but someone managed to get it going and drove off in it!

I had my first nova broken into twice, The first time they popped my boot lock must have realised they where never going to get the bassbox out the boot so left it in
Second time they cut the rear quarter rubber took the glass out and neatly placed it by my house front door, Then some how managed to get my bassbox out of the boot through the passenger door:amazed: (I honestly have no idea how they did this cause I made the box to fit exact in the boot and it took me about an hr to get it in!) Then they proceeded to take my stereo out, Realised the face wasn't in the car so ripped the wires out of the back then placed it back as if it hadn't been messed with(took me a while to find out why my stereo wasn't working)

I had a cd changer nicked once.
It was under the drivers seat. Was a strange one cause the head unit wasn't fitted properly. It needed a facia plate.
And there was 3 amps and 3 12 in subs in the boot but all they took was the changer. It was only a cheap one at that. The fools.

Our car when I was younger got vandalized due to dodgy dealings my horrible step dad did, put us all in danger the you know what!

Had my old 1.8TDI Escort broken into in Bradford about 8 years ago. They took a pair of (what they thought were) Oakleys shades and an in-car phone charger. Window cost me £65 to bloody replace yet the cost of the items they took came to a total of about £20. Idiots!

I've been pretty lucky, live in a quiet area and nobody gets past the dog at night lol.

Only thing I've ever lost is a set of wind deflectors. Ran out of diesel one day, left the car, walked home and got a jar and when I came back, they were gone. Rats!

I had a stereo nicked about 15 years ago I caught the young man in the act he dropped the radio I chased him but he stayed 3 steps ahead I was 33 then he was a teen and I could feel in my lungs the effects of smoking!
He was a lucky boy if that happened now I would not bother with the chase if the items were still beside the car.
Plus being 48 now I am not going to catch too many people.
