Ban on compensation claim referrals

Do you think the ban on compensation claim referrals is a good thing?

Yes, it has got out of hand. I was chased to get a claim in when someone rear ended the landy. At the time I didn't think much about it then about 6 months later was 'encouraged' to put a claim in even though I said it's been several months how come? However when someone flashes £s infront of you you tend to think okay maybe I will, could do with the money. Now we suffer due to the increased insurance premiums and I think to myself, how stupid, I moan and I have contributed to this! It's nothing but ambulance chasing.

I think this ban will just drive them underground, the practice is bound to continue as it is so lucrative. A ban might even make things worse for the industry.

I still get people calling me to say I've had an accident, when I clearly haven't!

I wonder if it will stop people making these bogus claims too?
