nah the coolant is fine.the car doesnt really get any long journeys so that could be the problem.only gets the short run to and from work everyday which is only about 6 miles.the car could probably do with a service aswell. checked the oil cap and dipstick again today and no goo, fingers crossed...

Got the car fixed. was the slave cylinder, topped up the brake fluid and pumped the clutch a few times and it worked fine until i got the slave changed.

no but there is some of the original audi wiring doing nothing. the big red one is for phone connection and there are 2 mini iso connectors one for the cd changer and the other one is for the dash display. the new headunit has preouts so that cable wouldn't be needed. Herb, yes i know where...

think it was the yellow that had a fuse on it. so i just swap the red and yellow wires around on the adapter?

Disconnected the MAF and the car seriously lacked in power. don't think the battery has been disconnected, had it in to get the timing belt done but that was a good 6 or 7 hundered miles ago.

No warning lights and its not slow gettin to 60, its still holdin boost. will let ya kn ow if the lack of maf works.

Will disconnect the maf and see if theres any difference. the turbo does seem like it takes a bit longer to kick in. could the problem be being caused by the wastegate sticking open or shut? nah no mods as of yet, bit short on funds at the moment.

spark plugs are fine, will check the coils. never let the tank get to a quarter. the car seems to be using alot more fuel for the last week or so??
