How much? For an Escort!

Well worth it IMO.
There are road going RS500 Sierra's going for upwards of 75k.
Classic Ford's are coming into their own and are very popular with car collectors these days. ;)

That's still crazy, it's just NOT worth it imho. It will just prove difficult to sell, and then sell on. As an investment can you ever see the price rising from that? I can't!

would I pay that no ,,,,but someone probably will because it isnt that bad in the world of mint semi racing classics

A mint original 1973 lightweight 911 RS carrera sold for over £200k this year and if that was a really rare early (1972) kpcg10 hako suka GTR with that racing pedigree would be way into six figures for sure

I am still amazed that these kind of figures can be reached by these cars, it's all fascinating stuff :)

If its provenance can be proven and was used by big name drivers then it will attract silly money in the rich collectors market. Much like a vintage Gretsch guitar that was played, let's say, by George Harrison, for example.

Same thing if it is any named make or very rare object , these will always fetch a premium often ridiculously so

Take a painting , a bottle of vintage wine or a clarice cliff teaset ;they are worth way more to "collectors" than they are as an object

So really old classics are quite good value comparared to the above

at least you can use them as what they actually are After all how much fun can you have with a painting ?
