diy wiring help needed

hi im thinking of wiring my rad.cass(r-c) to turn on via switch. do i remove its fuse from box connect two wires(male connectors)place removed fuse into inline fuse holder connect to power on switch(female connectors)other wire to acc on the switch and ground wire to ground to illuminate the switch.thanks for any help given

Why not wire it into the ignition so it is live when the ignition is on? I'm guessing you want the option of sounds while the car is off.

The only problem with a switch is that if you leave it on you may suffer from battery drain - especially if the car is left for long periods. Does the radio not have an on-off switch itself?
