I pulled off the standard air box as i have purchased an induction kit. I know there isnt a great gain in this but the sound you get when the throttle opens up sounds like a dump valve :D
Anyways there is a random pipe that attaches to the bottom of the standard air box. What does this do and can i remove it when i fit the induction kit.
As i blocked it up today then started the car and oil started to leak out of the bottom of the engine so turned it off. Took the block back out of the pipe and everything was fine. Is it alright to just leave this pipe as is.
Also this pipe has a sort of creamy gunge inside it.

not 100% but it sound like the oil breather pipe, you should be able to get a filter to go on here as well
im guessing its a thin pipe

also welcome to the site

Ebay is great.
Yeah as already said it will be an engine breather pipe so all is needed is a small filter. 5 quid is pretty damn good value.
