So i recently noticed and exhaust smell in the engine compartment and the cabin. I've been considering a high-flow exhaust and and new exhaust manifold anyway. Would this fix the exhaust smell or do guys think i have a bigger issue i have a bigger issue that i should fix before an upgrade?

With my current engine and its high mileage, I have some age related issues. Some odd sounds coming from the engine. Would something like Lucas heavy duty oil treatment help smooth out the engine or would it hurt it because Lucas increases the viscosity?
