Vinyl Wrap :S

I've been looking up vinyl wrapping, as I'm starting a project with a mate and we can't afford a full respray.

I don't fully understand the concept though. Does it just go over the outside of the car, so if your motor has bodywork showing on the inside it will be a different colour?

Also, many websites say that it protects the paint under the wrap, but surely a sight scratch will tear it and it may start to peal away.

Sorry for this guys, cause it might just be me being abit stupid!

yes it just goes over the original paintwork. just like the rest of vinyl it shouldnt come away that easy if applied properly

i saw a company down at the hampshire motor pad last year
and they was wraping a motor and was chatting to the bloke and he said it is very strong stuff normal scratches wont do anything deep ones will goes with out saying

most say it stops the suns uv rays getting to the paint work so saving the paint work and it is only a sticker so wont damage your motor

plus for a whole car is not that dear cheaper then a full paint job
