Tuneing a proton GTi??????

Hi there, im a big fan of tuneing! however I have no idea what exactly i have bought lol "proton GTi" mitsubishi 1.8 16v engine so as you can imagen im thinking low comp, ecu etc and strap a blower to it. or how much agg is it to put a evo engine in it??:confused:
 
Hi and welcome to TorqueCars. Nice to have you along. I have seen a few Protons now with EVO engines and the conversion works quite well. It would be easier to do the engine swap than it woudl to tune up the exisiting engine. (Sorry for my slow reply! :()
 
ok cool, do you know who i need to talk to? i want an idea of cost and can i run it on 2wd:lol:
 
Yes it is run on the 2wd through a Limited slip diff via a custom gearbox/drive shaft.

Sorry, don't know about specialists offering this. Norris Designs are the EVO specialists and may be able to help out with spares, I wouldn't be surprised if they were interested in doing the whole conversion.

Cost is likley to be pretty high, and then you will have extra insurance to pay for the car.
