superb road noise

Hi to one and all I have a superb 140 tdi and would like advice on reducing road noise i am running on 18 inch wheels but have a winter set of 17 inch but still have excessive road rumble on our tar and chipping surfaces

tyres normally make the world of difference when it comes to rad noise. cant help with more than that

Tyre pressures would probably make a difference too but I would keep them at the recommended pressures

If the 18" wheels are running low profile tyres, then there is your problem. There is no sidewall flex to absorb the vibration noise.
