Hi people,

As asked, I will introduce myself:

My name is Dennis, 24 years old and live in the Netherlands.
My daily drive is a VW Golf Mk3 GTI Edition 2.0 8V all standard except the exhaust, suspension and some lights.

In the shed, a dusty Alfa Romeo 33 1.7 16V QV is lurking.
Plans are there to get it up and runnin' again, but not all standard.

I'm planning on modifying the engine... Still haven't made up my mind yet..
NASP or putting a turbo/supercharger on.

Enough for know :toung:
PS: Hope my crappy english is good enough ;)

Hello and welcome, it sounds like you have a nice project there. I can't wait to see what you do with it. Rotrex supercharger conversions are quite popular on the Alfas ;)

The 33 has really nice handling so would make a great track day car/fun car.

Hi and welcome from me.
Love the Alfa 33's along with the bigger 75's. Last of the proper Alfa's. Saw a nice display of them at a show few weeks ago and got me thinking "hhhmmm  have I got room for another car somewhere".

I fancied myself in a GTV6 2.5 20+ years ago. Yes, it's a flawed car in so many ways but at the time it was so superbly anti-establishment.

A good car for all the wrong reasons.

You guys have the 33 mixed up with the 75 :)

The 33 is FWD with a boxerengine placed in driving direction with the
Gearbox straight behind it.

The 75 is RWD with either a TS engine or Nord engine, both placed in driving direction.
Then you get a center driveshaft witch leads to the transmission.
The brakediscs are placed right next to the transmission. So not in the rear wheels..

The transmission in this layout is also working as an axle and has a differantial in it.

That's also the reason why the 75 belongs to the group called: Transaxle#!
Because the transmission also functions as rearaxle.
