question on an engine swap

Hey there all

no sure where to put this post lol new to forums and all.

currently i own a 1989 holden commodore executive VN
its a 3.8L fi v6.It goes hard but its a wagon and an auto >< so i wamnt to put the engine in sumthing else , something small rear whell drive and a 5 speed ooo yea lol .

So my question is if anybody has any experience in this matter and can suggest any cars that would make the swap easy lol is that makes sense.:p

(ps. a mate says they fit into ford escorts well , is this true )

i dont know if i would put a gm engine into a ford i dont know about escorts over there but here they are all fwd bar some rs ones that are 4wd
but if you are good at mechanics and enginnering you can do anything
 
lol well i fail at mechanics never learnt or shall i say havnt learnt yet and im from NZ
