Polo engine

hi does anyone know decent engine swap for a mk4 polo? I only have 2 years no claims so cant afford a whakin great engine size. Any ideas?

The cost of insurance on even a basic engine swap will probably be enough to put you off.

The best option IMHO is the 1.8T but this will really push up your insurance costs. Even putting a relatively mild 1.2 engine in although making the car a bit quicker will probably double the cost of your insurance and actually be more to cover than a standard 1.2 polo.

IMHO the best advice is to hang on to the car, keep it standard and save up. Get some NCB built up and then go a bit mad on your second car.

2 years NCB? WTH? Insurance on that 1.0l Polo must be about £2.50?
