I thought so. Gets rid of the crappy steel retainer clip that was starting to crud up. Boy does it fly out at speed though, once you manage to prize it out!

yeah they do. remember when i removed the mintex pads i forgot to cover the spring when i pushed out the pin. flew out the drive

Yeah, well that clips the entire length of the calliper - causes slightly more damage than a spring if it hits anything! Luckily - it didn't.

spring is about the same length 4maybe 4.5" long and 2" wide as it goes over the disc (holds both pads in place) rather than just around the outside pad.
have caught fingers with those clips before bloody hell its sair as its such a small area

hehe - no. These are an official VW part for the R32. Figured they'd fit the R36 calliper and they do
