It's a bit of a contrived question really, isn't it? You've decided what you'd do, then asked a question and closed down the answers. :)

So - here's my answer, which will comply with your conditions: NOTHING!!

I'd just go and buy a 2nd car (only one in this family at present), probably a Saab 9-5 Aero Estate or 535d estate. As you stated - money no object.

There we go. How boring am I??

I just want to know why you want Rota wheels with an unlimited budget LOL. As HDi says I'm not playing because I don't like the rules :p

well it make its more fun saying want you want to do to get it to showroom or track staus, rather than just go and buy a super car

I agree with not changing cars but you can't tell people that aren't allowed to change engines or drive. You might as well decide for them? Everything you've listed is affordable to many people, there's only about £8ks worth of mods but you still have standard brakes? I would never let you mod my car!

There's no point in a "money no object" thread if you're not allowed to do anything out of the ordinary imo.

I don't want a supercar anyway. All I want is comfort and refinement with adequate performance. So my ageing but immaculate 24 valve 528i does the job well enough.

Not electrifyingly quick by any standards, but it does get on with the job pretty well nevertheless.

Sure I'd prefer a 540i or 535d - even better get rid of the BMW badge entirely (I don't like the image it projects) and buy a Saab 9-5 just to avoid bloody BMWs.

No Zonda or Ferrari for me I'm afraid.

You should look at the new Saab 9-5 range HDi! I know your not in the market for a new car at the moment. Main dealer persuaded me to to road test a 9-5 Vector SE TID4 Auto this weekend, I retract everything I have ever said about diesels! Boy am I impressed :)

hahaha lol brakes are never on my mind, and tbh i dont think 7k for a turbo conversion is really affordable, i can barely afford some hids :/ cant really afford my new car, having to put in some major over time :(

btw edited

OK

cut out the floor plan and fit the v6 4motion with a better haldex controller
ditch the 1.8 and fit the last model normal 3.2 v6 form the older TT
twin turboed
huge injectors
ditched maf
lowered compression
and all the other gubbins
custom exhaust made to suit the engine
so should see around 7-800bhp at the wheels

suspension setup professionally - would have the 2 varients of suspenion on it as the 4 wheel drives had a different setup
nice lightweight 18" wheels
front brakes from a 911 GT3 rs
rears from the RS4 along with master cylinder from the audi RS4

whole exterior remade in carbon fibre but painted over
GLI rear lights
OEM xenon headlights

thank you for playin now :) :p

id probably dump in the v6 engine, but keep the cup looks and really surprise people, also fit the v6 stoppers

If £7k isn't affordable then why pose a Money No Object question?

Lots of people buy £10k cars, even my misses' who is on a piss-poor wage frankly, so buying a £3k car and spending £7k on it is more than affordable imo. Anyways! For the Focus I will just streamline it down a bit:

AG Motorsort RWD converted shell
V8 Turbo conversion OR YB conversion...can't decide!
Running on Motec M800 (think I've reached well over £7k already....)
Custom PD Exhaust full ceramic coated
Bog standard interior with stack dash, all possible senders.
Custom rollcage designed to keep all interior
Standard exterior with standard alloys
Yoko A048's
Ap Racing 6-pot kit
Ohlins Coilovers
CF Bonnet painted imperial blue
CF Bumper vents, fog surrounds and splitter

Think that's about it?

the list goes on, sorry it's a bit sporadic, but i get a little hyper thinking about it...
it's been in the planning for ages, but as yet my circumstances aren't allowing it to happen... :(

WOW Sleeper! hope you don't mind if I keep this list for myself just incase my Lotto numbers come up? That sounds like an absolute monster! ;)

Sorry! but for real high performance! I failed to see any mention of Fluffy Dice in the "Interior" section! After such an extensive list, it was easy enough to overlook I suppose :)

The thread is daft if you have to keep the car you have because why would you with an unlimited budget So I will change the question to one wirth asking

It's also someone else's thread, if you don't like the question, you don't change the rules to suit you! you just don't answer it.

This is what I would turn my Accord shell into, full 2001 BTCC Touring car spec including the red and white Honda livery but made to be road legal,

Audi A4 2.0T Fsi Avant Quattro Sline Limited edition

I'll shorten the name of it for starters.

Engine - swap in a 3.2 Lamborghini engine & running gear.
Hydro suspension so I can go into allroad mode or track day mode.
Wheels, Nothing bigger than 18's and I quite like the current rims, perhaps I'd go wider and set more camber.
Exterior, Carbon fibre wings, bonnet and wide arch bodykit all painted to the standard dolphin grey (aka pigeon grey!).
I'd also get Nitrous installed and then slap on a couple of turbo's.

As it is a green car does it avoid the London C Zone charges? It looks great! I quite like it, personally i'd replace the black with CF but that is just me I suppose.

@ Sleeper, well look at that! that GTR looks quick just standing still
Cheers for the pics Sleeper, just popping out now to pick up a couple of lucky dips for tomorrow night

A full racing restoration of the Mustang to become a supercar killer. Giant brakes and tires, racing suspension, supercharger, carbon fiber body, full cage, basically make the mustang into a race car. Just no race paint and keep all the lights and horn and junk to keep it street legal (in America). I'd even rebuild the engine to perform on e85 so I can say that I'm being green. Hehe.

As far as I can see, most people are along the same lines. So I'm not going to boar you with the details. Only styling change I would do is carbon bonnet and exhaust guard, cos I think my car is sexy as, just how it is!!!! :embarrest: (brag brag brag) :D

you have every right to boast about it as well!

have a full bare shell re spray
replace any old worn parts with new genuine bits
have the interior re trimmed to standard spec (including the bucket seats)

then onto the tuning part
lightweight alloys
coilovers
twin engine conversion using 2 clio 172 turbocharged engines producing 400bhp each :)
4wd
