When you need a witty answer one never comes. So let's get ready for the inevitable silly questions.

How would you answer the following questions....

Is this your car sir?
Do you know how fast you were going?

Is this your car sir?
Would slap them for calling me sir lol

Do you know how fast you were going?
Obviously not fast enough as you caught me lol

Do you know how fast you were going?

Is this your car sir?
It was when i left the house but not sure how much longer.

Do you know how fast you were going?
No Sir. I felt it would have been unsafe to look at the speed due to the number of cars i was passing.

Is this your car Sir?

"Tell you what, mate, you wouldn't 'ave caught up with me in that [basic Astra Police car you were driving] if it wasn't?...............

Do you know how fast you were going?

"Yes." Is the only answer you should give.

Do not say "NO", this could be seen as admitting to 'driving without due care and attention'/

This is an interesting one because it demonstrates that you were fully aware of your own speed. You've answered the closed question.

Don't state any figures - if the Police want to issue a FPN or report you for speeding it's much harder for them to do so if you don't actually state the speed at which you were travelling
. They've only asked because they don't have enough evidence to issue the FPN anyway. So, admit to nothing.

Is this your car sir?
"No"
So who's is it?
"Dunno"

(Did this as I was driving a sold car and did not know the customer's name, reaction was good!)

Do you know how fast you were going?
"Top end is about 106mph, so no more than that"

lol, funny that this was mentioned,

i have a mate who was in america last summer with his wife and kids,
they rented a car bla bla, he was caught speeding,
the officer asked him, Do you know how fast you were going?

he replied, Obviously not fast enough as you caught me

a big thick irish accent, and the officer laughed so hard he left him go
