irritating whine

hey
my car has got this annoyting whine i nthe wheels or brakes wen the car is moving slowly or i am braking
does any one no the cause of this and solution?

dam beat me to it mines is normally from the passengers seat

pads may be starting to wear out or glazed over. pull the calipers out and give the pads a rough up with a wire brush. also do the discs ( check at the same time for a lip on the disc ). and use some copper grease - high temp grease - when you put it back togeather.

Remember, however, that the copper grease goes on the BACK of the pads

It could be a wheel bearing, try jacking up each wheel and check the bearings for play.

is it possible to gai naccess to wheel bearings on nissan maxima as a sole part?

You'll need to ask your local part supplier really. They will probably come as a hub.
