    Hi all,

My Inspection Light came on yesterday, i'm quite sure that the car does not "need", nor indeed does it "want" an inspection. Therefore what is the quickest, easiest and cheapest way around this problem and the key to resetting the computer?

    Cheers,

    Pete

Hi Pete, The time between servicing varies on how hard the car is driven as it keeps tabs on how many hours the engine has been running for and at what rpm. Sometimes these timers are not reset at servicing as not always showing servicing is required. If your car is an earlier one, it can be done in about 2 minitues by any garage with a service light resetting tool (available through Ebay and the like) for about £30. Some can also be done on the trip meter buttons, but the latest cars require going on a diagnostics machine to be reset. Not an expensive job and usually lasts between 7 & 10k before next service. Hope this helps.
