Possibly not - in their day(s) the Cavalier GSi was swift. The SRi 130 was never special.
It seems that diesel is starting to dominate even this kind of extreme sport.

On a budget I'd go for a Westfield or any 7 replica. There's plenty of cheap ones about their rear wheel drive, light weight & there's plenty of bits floating around.
