hi all petrol heads, i'm new to the website and looking foward to recieving advice,i am after advice about getting the peak performance out of my 206 1.1 really i'm after doin a engine conversion then tunin that because i wanna use it for track days, doesanyne know wha engine would be best fo the transplant. thanks sam

if your keeping it from a 206 the the gti180 engine would be technically the best for the swap

Most 206 engines will fit easily, you'll also find that the Mi16 and even the v6 from the 406 is possible but these are a lot more work.

I'm guessing you have to worry about insurance costs then? I'd say to get a donor car from a scrap yard as this will have all mounts, loom and gearbox etc. Strip out the seats and sell these along with the other bits you won't be using to ofset some of the cost.

thanks for the advice and insurance isn't an issue as i plan to use the car for trackdays only. i was wondering as its hard to find a doner gti180 plus i'm after somet i can tune to death lol. i want the car to be fast as possible if u kno wat i mean cheers

Would a 406 sri turbo engine fit my 206 if so would I be able to tune it more than the gti engine cheers.
