Hi evry one
I'v just joined you guys and it looks like a great site.
I live in Midrand-South Africa which is in the highveld about midway between Johannesburg and Pretoria. The soccer world cup is a thing of the past now so every thing settling down in this parts of the woods.
Im the proud owner of a 2lt 8valve Golf 3 gti nasp motor which I would like to turbo myself. As this is going to be a project for me to do, I would like to hear from any one who has done this, and to find out if it is a good idea to go on with project and if so how to go about it.
I would like to give feed back on how turbo fitting is coming on if I proceed with project and hopefuly I can be of assistance to some one.

Hi Jax, and a awarm welcome to TorqueCars. Your project sounds awesome, but if it were me I'd transplant in a 1.8T engine instead of trying to get a turbo to work on the old 8v block.

Please keep us posted with what you decide to do and how it goes.
