I brought a mk 2 escort body, just the body because the paint and panel work is beautiful. Ive so far rebuilt the brakes, takin out the stareing rack and replaced the boots and adjusted the tie rods. Its a automatic bt im converting it to manul so i needed to get a gearbox mount made up to fit the wider tunnel. I have the gearbox and drive shaft all ready to go in and have a 1600 ohv engine lined up to buy and then bolt in

Very nice. It doesn't have the Mexico flared arches does it? A friend of mine had a 2.0 Mk2 Escort and was planning to put in a Cosworth engine but had to sell it due to financial constraints.

Not to sure there buddy. Ive never personally seen a mexico. Did he put the 2.0 in himself? cosworths are mean engines bt they are prity pricey
