Hello to all our there my name is Paul and I live in Margate UK. I have a golf v 1.9tdi nothing special and was just wondering if there was anything I could do to increase power. If anyone got any tips or ideas it would be great and I would also like to try and do the work myself so nothing to complicated.

IF it was my car and wanted more power then the absolute 1st thing I would do with any turbo powered vehicle is have an exhaust specialist make up a MANDREL BENT system from the turbine outlet in say 2.5 inch or larger diameter pipe with a straight thru perforated NOT LOUVERED (that type reduce flow) resonator app 1/2 way and a similar rear muffler.Turbos love as close to zero backpressure and when I had this done to the car in the pic 15 + years ago it was dynoed before and after the same day and there was an app 15% improvement in power.

FYI Mandrel bends retain the same internal diameter as a straight pipe the same size
