Hello, anyone done NOS on a diesel here. Been researching this and looks like it may be next big thing to have done as don't want to replace turbos etc.
Car is 2.7 V6 twin turbo Jag S running 270+bhp at moment.

Hello and welcome. So a 2.7 v6 twin turbo jag is not quick enough for you! I like your style.

Nitrous does seem to be a fantastic option for a massive power gain. The only downside is getting the bottles refilled.

Did you put the turbos on yourself or did the car come with that setup?

Well yes and no, fast enough for road but off to Nuburing in April 2010  Clarkson done it in 10 mins flat in his Jag so if I can match that modded I would be happy (he is obviously a better driver).

Great thing is i still get 33mpg- my mate with the M3 is most envious, of course, he is a petrol head and loves the noise!

I don't think he is that good a driver. Didn't Sabine Schmit match his time in a Transit Van? (No pressure).

Besides, he is always spinning out in cars just after they do a camera cut. I'm sure you can thrash him. Now this may sound daft but practice the track layout a lot on GranTurismo and get used to the bends and where they are located.

True but she is an awsome driver- and knows the track so well. I like the idea of practicing on Gran Tur, the lad who I'm going with has that for his x 360 so will have to have a few nights on it.
Not heard of propane before.............
The lads think I'm mad for considering nos in what is a rather nice motor so gonna research turbo's etc as well.
Brake lines have arrived on going on the motor with uprated fluid this tuesday- happiness!

Just to point out that Gran Turismo is a Playstation only game. It was never released on any other console.;)

Hi and welcome from me. You can get Forza Motorsport 2 on Xbox 360 which has the ring on it ;)
Wizards of NoS is who one of my friends used on his Porsche 928. It now runs 2x 500hp bottles = 1000hp of NoS plus the original 300hp from the engine

Cheers for all the info lads, the car will hopefully go in the rolling road this Sat but he is checking for spaces then I'll know for sure- either way it's so slick and smooth with the re-map I don't mind too much. Just finished replacing brakes on Tuesday and was pleasantly suprised to find it has huge 2 pot callipers as standard (very nice) and believe it or not, braided lines as standard!!! Don't think many people on the Jag forum know that. Replaced 4 dot fluid with 5 and all in all brakes are amazing- although not being to harsh as their still bedding. Seeing a guy next week about custom induction from behind grill (carbon fibre so will post piccies if he can make it) and now looking into the decats- anyone know good custom exhaust place in the north east???? I will need 2 large sections as 2 complete exhaust systems ;)
Tell you what else I just remembered for my PS1- outrun and the amazing destruction derby.
Not totally ruled out NOS but ther "wizards" were who I was thinking as they did the 5th gear vw golf that took on the mighty NSX. What's the crack with insurance etc??? Refil cost???

It can be quite hard getting insurers to cover Nitrous for the road. It is possible though I'm sure a few on here have done it - didn't madrod have nitrous and insurance?

Sounds good so far.

What insurance company are you with? Try the specialist companies like heritage, Hegarty or Adrian Flux for modified cars. I've just renewed my 944 turbo for £200 but that is a second car classic policy. It's quite highly modified though.
