I am very intrigued by the information which I found on this website which is why I decided to join the forums group and see what I can learn from others who don't look at cars as just a tool to get from point A to point B. I consider myself new to the modification community but have a strong passion everything cars.

CAR: I own a 2008 BENZ C-350 RW 7sp auto(USA restrictive version)

Going for the zzzzzz"SLEEPER"zzzzzz stlye

Current Mods: High flow cats, upgraded brake hoses and high performance brake fluids, custom sports exhaust, x-pipe, and ecu software tune, speed booster.

Future mods: Internal mods, headers, rear mount turbo or supercharger, carbon fiber hood, lighter alloy wheels, possibly lowering springs(if i can get right settings)

C-350 is not the most ideal base to start with and I'm sure the German enthusiast are telling me to go AMG.

I like my car and as that old saying goes. Be happy with what you have.

I NEED TORQUE!!!::bigsmile:

Also, you may find our members project threads and photo gallery very useful as a source of inspiration towards your own very special project!

Good luck to you & I hope you enjoy the forum! :)

Update! After careful consideration my mechanic has recommended that I follow the path of the Supercharger! This is exciting. I also placed my order for some high performance summer tires. Coming soon!

Have a look at these threads which cover the basics of forced induction.

Cheap turbos can be purchased from breakers yards which are ideal for a try it and see type project.:bigsmile:

Adding a turbo is a major engineering task and without a kit with full instructions and all the parts you need there is a big risk of blowing up the engine. Expect to spend 50 hours upwards on a project of this type.

This is not the sort of modification you should undertake unless you are mechanically competent and know what you are doing.

It is as your mechanic suggests worth looking at superchargers as these are generally much easier to install than a turbo is we have some topics on this in our tuning articles. http://www.torquecars.com/tuning/engine-mods/forced-induction
