Engine Nuts & Bolts

Hi guy's,

I'm trying to find a supplier of nuts and bolts to replace the tatty ones on my celica.

Ideally i'd prefer annodized if possible.

Have searched ebay but nothing really stands out (most of the stuff is for bikes).

Would be made up if i could find a supplier based in the bristol area so that i could have a look at what they have.

Anyhoo advice and reccomendation welcome.

sorry cant really help.
i use a local ironmonger to get me any bolts i need.
i normally just for stainless rather than anodised

If not you only need to find out the sizes and you can get everything online including titanium.

Anodised is the case hardening for aluminium, so guess you won't be fitting ally fixings to your car unless they are for non-stressed areas?

Stainless or plated fixings will be next. Are you near a chandlery? They will stock them but beware they might be pricey, try the 'net for stockists as you can get a good price for bulk items.

I wouldn't use stainless on anything critical as they are are weak (about 90,000 psi UTS). If you stick to genuine SAE Grade 8 bolts (150,000 psi) of the correct length you won't die due to bolt failure
