any techhies in here?
I already know that deisels dont have cats, they have particulate filters.

i've spoken to a few people about this. and they have said that as long as it doesnt smoke too much it will still pass its MOT.

i want to know whether putting a straight pipe will cause me any engine problems, or warning lights/codes etc.

my Cat/particulate filter, is currently broken from the Flexi pipe that comes out of it. So it needs attention ASAP B'coz its doing my head in, coz i cant sneek out of the driveway in the evenings.

any help would be gratefully recieved, although i'm not doing anything kinky!

cheers in advance

I guess the question is whos driveway are you sneaking out of?

I don't think you'll gain much removing the filter, diesel exhausts are massive and are really built for flow. I've also never seen a performance exhaust for a diesel but I'm sure that there is a market for them!

A short term fix - wrap some aluminium tape around the hole and it will give you another couple of weeks to get something sorted. HDi fun is really your man (he likes tuning diesels  !)

Welcome to the site - it sounds like you really enjoy your car :D
