coilovers ??

my coilovers arrived today

ok im totally new to coilovers i have never used them or worked with them bfore so is this height difference between the coilover and standard shock normal??? there is about 70mm in difference

30mm - 80mm is the quoted drop
im just hoping they havent sent me the wrong ones!

If you have specified a higher spring rate this will reduce the drop caused by the weight of the vehicle so the effective lowering of the car will be less than the difference between the damper lengths when off the car.

when i recently switched the scoobys suspension for coil overs drop looked similar to what you have but the springs dont flex much when you driving, very hard ride even on softest setting. Overall drop on the car though is not the same a the height difference in the shock absorbers, will prob be half
