Civic Type R 4th gear sound ?

Hi guys - new to the forum so go easy on me...

Had my Civic for about 3 months now - great motor.

Just wondering - 4th gear seems to 'whine' more so than the other gears...usual occurrence ? Or is something not right ?

Starting the mods this weekend with a set of EBC Yellowstuff R which from reading here sound a good choice.

hey mate a whine would normally point out a bearing on its way out. but ouldnt be sure
how old is the car ?

It's about 2 and half years and has done just under 31,000 miles. Had done about 26k when I got it and has always done it.

Still got some manufacturers warranty left so sounds like it might be worth taking it in for a look over.

Hi Maull Man, It does indicate the start of a problem in my mind so get into the dealer. Good luck with the modifications, and let us know how you get on with the Yellowstuff pads.
