can anyone help service book says change at 60000 petrol and 90000 diesel but been told at garage its 60000 for both anyone know for sure which is right mine is a 2.0 crdi :sad2:

I'd be inclined to change it sooner rather than later myself, have you tried phoning Kia uk customer service (0845 601 7521)?

Sometimes on newer cars they find cambelts start failing earlier than the mileage they put in the book so a lot of garages change them earlier.

Put it this way, it won't do any harm to change the belt earlier, but you'll be facing a much bigger bill if it snaps or the tensioner fails etc.

yeah as MA has said sometimes they say in the book it xxK for the change but then they find in real life its not so lasting so shorten it.

best to do it at 60
i always say the same for petrol and diesel as they do the same work and the belts are the same (on some)
