Pricey, yes they are - but the results are worthy. Clearly nothing in a can is going to resolve mechanical problems and the makers and marketers of this stuff will tell you exactly the same thing. I'm a hard line cynic when it comes to these type of products but in my experience they have worked for me with cars that are already well maintained. Good and timely servicing is essential and avoiding supermarket fuels always helps. In short, don't dismiss 'em, - they're not a substitute for proper servicing but can still be used to great effect.
