In Brunei, modifications of any motor vehicles without prior notifications from the authorities are illegal and lots of expensive hotwheels get confiscated from time to time.We just look in pain watchin' those tow trucks dragged those properties away to the compound areas waiting for the judge to bang their hammer head.( sigh... )

Hi and welcome. It sounds pretty harsh but I think other countries are also equally strict on modified cars, particularly if emissions and noise figures are particularly out.

What sort of permissions do you need to get when you modify your car?
