Will an incorrect timed engine cause more sound that it should..? considering the HDi's... I also heard that advancing the timing can prove to gain in a little more HP..

yes, I will record it and get back to you all people... infact the probes do exist as it do indicates an antipollution fault on the dash each time I start the car and when the engine cuts itself off, I do get the same message again.

2.0 HDi 110 bhp... well ok, am gonna check this out. and about the cut off thing..? because a friend suggested me that due to the catalyser missing, the sensor detects black smoke and hence cuts the engine..is it..?

Sorry again if I ask too many questions... but, I have my engine spitting small amount of oil upon high revolutions... I think that it comes from the turbo and it do cuts itself off if revved too high... engine will start again after some 5mins.. there is also some kind of heating effect smoke...

dunno if it's available in MRU though...

ehé, it's solved... :P the fuse of the fuel pump was faulty... just gat it short circuited until I replace it... HA, i needed to remove the pump and test it directly from the battery to ensure that it's working fine.. YES, it's lot's of work involved to unbolt that...

of course there's diesel... kinda some electrical problems i guess...!

Most of the problems sorted out except that the engine is producing black smoke... guess it's because I got the EGR disconnected as it produced even more smoke when the valve was connected...it's stuck I think... next was to replace the cam driven water pump by an electric one.. so as to...

Ok, there's no warning light.. everything seems pretty fine... but compared to before, acceleration is not the same... Ok, jarrus.. am gnna check this out.... and the black smoke, does it in some way affects the turbo...?

In fact, they retapped the 4th injector also because it was loosing combustion pressure... and after that the acceleration became lazy...:(

taking out the intake manifold.. thats surely loads of work... no it's not a boost leak... turbo has been throughly checked... it's like some kinda lazy acceleration....

Ok, Everything is fine.. And the latter is lot more smoother than before.. but, I noticed that there lacks some power and the latter is still purging out black smoke...not as before but it's still there... do I need to check the EGR..?

YES that's it... they are re-tapping the hole and gonna fit it again....

NO Leaking..Fine but they said that the place where the screw is has been damaged.. need to draw the hole for the screw again... sry, i don't have the exact terms to use....

finally gat it to a garage and I told them to change the injector... at the same time, they will check the turbo charger also...

erm, point was to take apart the cylinder head to have a clearer idea about the leak... it was someone working at iframac who suggested me this.. but, anyone here has a more clever idea of how to fix it... because am aware of the work needed to take it apart.. :D

UPDATE: the cylinder head will need to be taken apart to remove the injector... because there no way for it being removed... it's not moving an inch... anyone to suggest how to remove that...

heyy it's purging out black smoke as well.. at 2000rpm itself and at higher revs theres massive black smoke... might the leak be the cause of the problem..?

well, at times it happens to have some fast HDi...:P but I usually drive leisurely... around 60-100 km/h and the car has done around 250000 so far.. guess it very much...^^

yea HDi, but pilot injection occurs at a much lower pressure than the initial injections if am not mistaken and yeah my pug keeps on purging out massive black smoke at around 2500rpm itself.... i forgot to mention that the 3rd injector is leaking also, just where it is bolted in the cylinder...

yea... HDi shouldn't be making noise as conventional diesels... they should have been lot more quieter... also I forget to mention that we got the cylinder head out once... Is this the cause...? or is it that pilot injection is not occurring due to the injector nozzle being blocked or...

I was also targeting to have a voltage regulator for the car. so as to have a better distribution of voltage through the car.. they also say that idling is smoother and there's a lot more improvements over headunits and amps etc.. Is is worth to buy it..?

Heyy, I knew about that but thanks for reminding me but the problem was that my battery got down twice because of the headunit continued to play even in the economy mode. guess that it's not from the multiplex one because it's all aside and there a new connection from I don't know where in the...

YEAH.. It's about the BSI thing.. that's to shut down the current in case it's in economy mode... but is the multiplex wire so confusing..? I wanna see if I can get a direct connection from the multiplex itself..:D because surely this has to pass through the BSi unit also... Is it HDi fun...?

Oups forgot to mention that lil bit of detail.. it's a 2002 one.. guess that it's using a new BSI and hence a new wiring loom... it was that bit of detail that i needed to clarify..::P

Where is the wiring loom for the 406 found.. I mean I want the entry +12V one.. this is to connect my amp and headunit to different fuses in case of blownoff... can anyone help me... I can see there is one underneath the steering wheel.. near to the headlight adjustment switch.. adn one...

Maybe this is why they are left better to be used with far heavier chassis for vehicles such as lorries etc... and if considering a remap, would it cause the engine to rev faster...? or any other mod that can be made for it to do so..?
