U can get a b18c under your hood for around 1,800 pounds, supplied nd fitted. but do you not have to change the valve springs, forge pistons and upgraded camshafts since boost would overload all the standard b18c engine parts?

Something under 140bhp, i think your model is the 110bhp SOHC right? those brian crower cams are really something im not sure if they make them for this model though, one of the cheapest ways of upgrading 1.6vtec is getting parts from a bigger displacement, for example most b16a owners get stuff...

TDI or Hond-R do remapping. Has your honda got a VTEC? I'd say lose weight mate, if its not a family car get rid of the seats and everything that u dont really need that much it will increase your power to weight ratio u will b surprised about the outcome i stripped mine last w/end. like pgarner...

if you are after a good cold air feed I think AEM is a good option. It is well structured as the picture shows

money isnt the problem, noise and performance is the priority i know buddy club produces some extra bhp and the noise is music to my ears i dont want anything else. in london there is a place called torque exhausts and they do custom exhausts u choose what it looks like and what it sound like...

hi mate, your ideas are pretty accurate if your money is very limited at the moment, you could also think about new cams or change clutch with a lighter flywheel both mods are slightly cheaper than a full exhaust system and will probably give you more umph than that. also if you are after speed...

as prince mentioned above, it is very important what u want the suspension for, since u said u wont be going to track days etc u might as well get a comfortable lowering kit

im guessin there is about a 50bhp advantage in b18c comparing to d16y so there is a big difference plus redline is slightly higher for b18, these 2 alone are enough to say they are very different engines. i didnt know SOHC was better for boosting, i want mine turbo'd up by the end of this year...

sorry didnt want it to come out like that though :cheesy: well with all honesty DOHC is better than SOHC but since you gave us a little taste of what modifications you are looking at it shouldnt bother u at all since you wont be taking car to racing tracks. on normal roads there is no difference...

it is a vtec, prince u had doubts probably because its a SOHC and most vtecs come with double overhead cams.
