Yeh stroker kits keep the valves open longer so more fuel etc..incsrease acceleartion in the low and mid range..struggles with the high end. Is it advisable to use the k turbos on vw or using a garret or summit other make turbo?

Whats the most you could bore out this engine to? How do you balance the engine? doesnt it get balanced before it comes out the factory? Googled the BFV engine...comes out an audi tt. The spec for it is sweet.

His flywheel was lightened and balanced. See if you got BAM or BFV engine..is it pointless upgrading the internals. If you had that BFV lump with 240hp standard, what upgrades would you do?

Sorry if i have offended one .. Was in a car mag, either race car or redline where a guy was putting an engine into his mazda rx7..he went for the 1jz-gte vvti engine. He was asked why he never went for the rb26 lump and he said simple, because rb's blow up. Same when i guy was putting an engine...

Obviously mapping it would give the best results.. i thought it was a bit too sounding simple. As with any turbo to an n/a conversion you would have to lower the compression ratio .. The tsi is 10.0:1..cant find out the standard 1.4 is. Lower a would imagine...soo?

He was claiming it was one of the fastest in the uk. So by upgrading the clutch you would go higher speeds? His was an AUG lump.

Well upgrading the turbo to the gt35 turbo, fuel pump and remap is claimed to easy make 350-400hp with no work on pistons etc.

Alot of people claim the rb26 are unreliable and blow up .. Many engine conversions have went to the 1jz and 2jz route. Even when forging the internals, the still somehow pop under boost pressure...

The SR20DET is highly tunable .. Reading in a car mag, some swedish dude stripped down the s14a to 907kg, bored it out to 2.2 with a stroker kit, re-built and upgraded etc...running 600+hp .. Thats one fast mofo car. There was a wee artical and he said boring it out to 2.2 with the stroker kit...

Didnt no BMW made engines with turbos as stock? .. Read a few articles about turbo bmw's. One was a turbo 320, a supercharged 328..best but was a twin turbo 325 .. Man that was crazy lol. E46 shape, twin turbo, 2.5(bored out a think to 2.7 with stroker kit) totally stripped inside, standard...

Was reading on a forum a while back about a guy who had a 1.4 mkv golf, who then added the 1.4tsi system to it. He said it was a easy fix, just bolting on and adding a few small things with ease. Can this be done? What would have to be done for it too work? Its a big jump from like 75bhp, too...

I would get the problem fixed before doing any modification. Performance wise...1.4 16v..75bhp? You could always add a manifold, full exhaust, forged internals. Or a remap for an extra 5 horses. Due to it being low displacement and a n/a engine, its really pointless. I no what you mean, i also...

I read on a forum about a 415bhp Mk VI golf that was built by noble motorsport. Alot of work done to it, including a full wrc spec anti-lag system which was neat. The turbo was a full insertion, oil fed etc, not just a bolt on number. Topped out at 174mph. Said it was real quick off the line...
