that conversion to the 2.2 vtec is simple /usually ...if the front engine harness and ecu comes with the motor then its all plug and play .nothing needs to change besides what i.ve mentioned
i found the same throttle response in my prelude with 2.2 vtec 1000rpm to about 3500rpm was slugish and left me feeling like i could almost run faster....lol....so i decided to see what i could do to make bottom end power . first thing more air flow (cold air intake) second manufactured a 1''...
check out http://www.wilwood.com/BrakeKits/BrakeKitLanding.aspx they might have something but ill tell you they aint cheap but there good i have the 310mm big brake kit on my lude and it stops on a dime
best way is to pick up a chipped p28 ecu they are fully programable with different maps ex. more hp, higher rpms, rev limiter is disabled change when vtec engages mostly plug and play .
lol i cant wait to hear it either the motor has no internals yet just parts sitting together for a mock up for building the frame... know anyone with a good turbo 4 sale preferably a t3/t4 will also concider a evo 16g
