Your thoughts on video screens in cars

    What are your thoughts on video screens (dvd players, games consoles and the like) installed in cars?

    Would you consider fitting one in yours, or do you think they are pointless as you can't use them whilst driving? Perhaps it will keep the kids quiet on journeys though.

    Rear seats, OK. Front seats, bloody dangerous. Satnavs are bad enough with drivers being distracted by the moving image without the lethal addition of a video being watched by a passenger, even if it is turned away from the driver.

    If it shuts the kids up.... Not that I have any and other people's children who have been in my car are usually awed into silence by the noise of my car and the occasional hard acceleration :)

    Screens, for playing movies etc, in the rear are fine by me.
