I've seen recent footage where a signal can be picked up from outside your house and copied enabling thieves to drive away with the car using a copied key!

It's only a matter of time before the thieves got gadgets to do this and West midlands police have issued warnings and suggest using a steering wheel lock on cars with keyless systems (what is the point of having a keyless system if you need to use a steering wheel lock?)

How long before your keyless car chip is copied from your pocket in a restaurant and people take your car parked nearby?

Like a lot of things it's a constant battle of security vs thieves.
The next step here would be to increase the security coding on the keyless system. That will be broken and then something else will happen.

Go old school; put key in lock it opens just the one door. Put another key in the ignition to start the engine. Modern thieves will be confused :)
