Which exhaust and performance cat

Hi guys i have been trying to decide which is the best exhaust to buy for my 2002 330 CI.

I have looked at remus, Eisenmann, borla, ac schnitzer?

I have also considered just going to my local powerflow exhaust company and having my own design made.??

I did fancy a Borla. do they fit R/H drive versions.

I do not want a real loud exhaust, just a nice deep sound which is not intrusive??

I have been looking on the net for ages and cannot seem to find many uk companies with good selection of performance exhausts for the BMW??

Will an exhaust add any power to my car or is it just a noise thing??

I have also considered buying a performance cat but again cannot find any anywhere!! Will this add any power??

Finally while i have your attention!!LOL!! Will a remap make any difference, if so what difference does it make. Who is the best company to use to remap a BMW (I live in East yorkshire)? Oh and estimate price for remap??

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Save the remap till last and get a custom remap that will utilise all of your mods.

As far as I know there is no difference in the exhausts of RHD/LHD cars, the engine is in the same place and the exhaust generally exits on the same side. But it is worth asking the question.

Do you want power or sound from the exhaust? Stainless steel polished headers and as few bends and a bore size of 2.5-3 inches should give optimum power. Back box makes the noise so a large exit bore will give a deeper sound. I personally like the Scnitzers on the BMW as far as sound goes, nice and throaty without too much rasp and not too intrusive at lower round town speeds.

What other mods are you planning? What about some cams/Induction kit etc..?

I like Scnitzer but where can i buy one from???

I was hoping to just get a performance cat, good zorst and better filter. Maybe a remap later.

Anybody know where to purchase a good sports cat and Scnitzer exhaust from.

And who is the best company to use for remap on BMW ?

Have you found CA Automotive yet? They are BMW specialists and supply a lot of high quality German tuning parts, they might also be able to help with the remap.
