Which car to get?

I would like to start off by saying hey and I'm a newbie to the car scene. Two cars that I have seen in my area that have caught my eye are a 97 mitsubishi eclipse gst or 04 dodge neon srt4. I need help with choosing between the two or if neither are good for me to get because I have seen so little on these cars. Any type of info will help. Thanks!
