What is the ultimate drivers car?

What would you say deserves the title the ultimate drivers car?

The BMW 3 series is often referred to as the ultimate drivers car, but do you agree or are there more worthy contenders out there?

I did enjoy my MX5, it's not always about the power, the throw-ability in that car was epic

The ultimate drivers car will almost certainly be different for everyone much like female beauty and desirability is in the eyes of the beholder IMO.

Of the many cars I've driven for me the mx5 as above and the 205 pug, fantastic, the extremely powerful cars I've owned only make me brake on bends wheras he Mazda and pug (also my current focus) ask for more, so in my case less power is more
