What are the best windscreen companies

Have you ever used a winscreen company? What were they like and did it take long.

Ive just got a nice pound coin sized chip right in the top of my screen in the drivers line of view. If I dont do it through my insurance do you reckon it will cost me?

Shall i wait till my MOT in July or just get it done before it cracks?

Without going through your insurance it will cost you a fortune from the like of autoglass.... I went to a small garage who knew someone to fit mine an he charged £140 and it was done within the hour....That was a Rover 200....

Youll only pay up to £70 excess through you insurance company or itll prob cost you £100 plus to do it yourself. That to me is a no brainer it doesnt affect your no claims just be prepared that it takes them a couple of hours to do as the glue has to dry. Which un be known to me left me sitting in a tescos for the afternoon.
