Hello, I've just joined the forum because I'm interested in finding out what I can do to tease a bit more sauce out of my standard lump. I drive a 1986 Bedford CF2 van. Its the 2.0 CIH petrol engine that was also used in the Manta GTE... and for that reason alone I am (possibly naively) convinced I could get a bit more power out of the engine.
I have considered an engine swap too, but I can't afford the risk of swapping an engine and finding out how much else has to be changed to make it work, and then 5000 miles later the engine chews the transmission up, or the transmission throws the drive shaft into a ditch.
So I'm here to learn a bit more about all of the things I 'think' I know about, but don't really.
