I have a BMW E36 318 with a M40 engine. I've read about the schrick cam for this engine. I would like to know if I can just change this and lifters and rockers or would I need to change the rods, pistons and crank as well?
The end result of the mods I'm looking at are to give an over better spread of BHP and tourque whilst still remaining reasonable on economy. Any and all help will be appreciated. I've also just changed the throttle body to the M42 throttle body.
