Ok then, in England we've just had a census taken so I thought we'd better take one on here.

Answer the following questions.....

How many cars do you own?
How many cars do you drive in a typical week?
How happy are you with the price of fuel?
How happy are you with the state of the roads?
How many people does your car usually carry per journey on average?
Do you drive it harder at the weekends?
How much water do you use to wash your car?

Oh absolutely! In fact I don't think we're paying nearly enough.

Very happy. The large pot holes & poor service quality of the roads keep our automotive parts industry healthy & busy.

47 plus 12 standing.

Do you drive it harder at the weekends?

I think that's a bit personal & you should mind your own beeswax.

Dodging potholes is how I warm my tires

I drive hard to the shops. Everyday.

4 buckets of warms water, about 30 minutes cold water from the hose. Usually moreso when there is a hosepipe ban

Not at all. It hasn't affected me much but i hate the fact that the govt. and fuel companies can just walk all over us and the damage it is doing to the ecomomy

They should probably dig them all up and start again. Add an extra lane on all roads aswell while they're at it

Too many caravans and sunday drivers, even on saturdays. And i'm trying to increase my mpg for fun, better than trying to increase my mph.

1 Hot bucket and enough cold water to rinse a few times and keep it wet.

So most of us drive round with a pretty empty car. Why did we even buy a car with 4/5 seats?

Now what is the point of a census? It is so you can make decisions and calls based on trends and statistics. So for us lot we have the following from the TC dept of transport...

From this census i've determined we are all a bunch of ungrateful moaners who have bought cars that are far to big for our needs and that if half of us sold our cars we could give lifts to the other half. Half the cars means we'll have to double the road tax to retain the revenue and as the roads won't be as worn out with only half as many cars on them in future the state of the roads will improve and fuel will come down as less people are using it.

There appear to be a growing number of anti potholes emerging in my area, long strips of bumps that go right accross the road, they really slow you down, so not happy.
