If things got really bad for the economy and car sales slumped to the point that there were only 2 car manufacturers left who do you think it would be?

Ford and Toyota would be my bets, two of the largest and longest running and most stable IMO.
 
Any Japanese brand to be honest. Modern German cars are not reliable enough and people are clocking on.

My bet would be Toyota or Nissan.
