Smart "problems"

Hi Guys

Just test drove a smart for a laugh...
The next day I sold my pick-up and purchased the smart.

This is where the problem starts...
30 minutes on the internet and I couldn't hold back.
My car is booked in at the local tuning shop for beginning of february, but I love in South Africa where you dont get anything for a Smart so some parts are being custom made. The biggest problem is that the tuner has
never worked on a smart and is unsure about the ecu remap.

Which basic mod's give the best results?
I'm planning a air filter upgrade, dump valve (12mm) and and a down pipe
+ decat exhaust.

Any advice? Could a UK tuner make up a map that would suit the South African Conditions (Pretoria - hot, altitude) and mail it to me?

I would really appreciate any help.

Smarts R Us & Well Smart are the two main company's that spring to my mind it's been a few years since I've had a Smart so there's alot more firms about now for a complete guide to everything there's a guy Called Evilution who has spent a lot of time compiling a comprehensive site that covers all aspects of smart ownership, there's even a pick of my old car in the guide!

If you have a Smart with the 600/700cc Suprex engine don't be tempted to put a dump valve on the car, they do more harm than good.
