what biger engine will go str8 in my 1.3 1998 ford ka with as litle work posible?

I don't know too much about Ford engine conversions, however I have heard a 2.0 litre Mondeo engine will work! You can try many engines across the Ford range. An Escort might be a good donor. What kind of power are you looking for?

Have you looked at the Fiesta 1600cc engine. These are pretty simple swaps by all accounts. It is a shame the KA only came with the one engine option although ford did do a tuning package with fast road cams and suspension tweaks.

ye im thinking about a 1.6 just which 1 i was thinking maybe 1.6 8valve or the 16valve zetec

You may as well go for the 16 valve as these tune up better and have more power. You might get a 2.0 Pinto to fit as they are quite simple blocks but you should be better off doing the 1.6 I've seen this done a few times and the end result is really good.

I bet you dream of gettin a Focus RS engine to fit! That would be one quick car......... with major traction issues
