Is your car a need or a want

Would you say you having a car is an essential need or a frivolous want?

Perhaps you are somewhere in the middle of the two extremes.

We had two cars and went down to one to save money. It was a challenge but we have been able to make do with just one car.

The wifelet's Hyundai is a need. The nearest shops are a way off (though we are yet to explore the offerings of ordering our groceries online). We both work some way from home and the busses are crap.

My scooby is a want. Pure extravagance and indulgence. I don't need 4 wheel drive and 300 bhp. But it damn fun

The one on the left needs a faster younger driver to get the best out of it at the track and sprint days

Mine is both; I 'need' the car for work to carry around tools and test equipment, it is a 'want' because I love that car as it is my 'Mistress' who fulfills all my desires and never gets jealous if I look at other cars...

Having my car is a need because it would take forever commuting on public transport. The type of car I have however, is a want. I'm happy that I can afford to have a want and appreciate it
